4.       Recommend approval of the proposal by William Palonis, Jr., to construct a nature/walking trail around the high school campus - as his Eagle Scout project - and to accept the Outdoor Classroom Grant for the project funded through Lowes. (Miscellaneous Item #0306-3)

5.       I move to approve a fundraiser sponsored by the Carlynton Quarterback Club to solicit businesses in the area for advertising signs/banners that will be suspended on the fence surrounding Honus Wagner Field for the fall of 2006 only.

6.       Recommend approval of the Treasurer’s Report for the month of February 2006 as presented.  TBP


7.       Recommend approval of the February 2006 bills in the amount of $_______________ as presented. TBP




·   Personnel


8.       Recommend approval of the additions to the 2005-2006 Day-to-Day Substitute List as presented and recommended by the administrative staff. (Personnel Item #0306-1) TBP


9.       I move to approve the addition to the Athletic Supplemental Contract List for the 2005-2006 school year as presented and recommended by the administrative staff. (Personnel Item #0306-2)


10.   I move to approve the letter of intent to retire for elementary teacher Arlene Esterburg, effective the last day of the 2005-2006 school year, under the terms and conditions provided by the retirement system and the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0306-3)


11.   Recommend approval of _______________ for the position of temporary maintenance person for approximately six to eight weeks under the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0306-4) TBP


12.   Recommend approval of _______________ for the position of full-time Transition Coordinator for the remainder of the 2005-2006 school year only. This is currently a half time assignment. The full-time position is under the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0306-5) TBP


13.   Recommend approval of the postings for one special education teacher and two instructional aides for an elementary extended school year program to be conducted at Carnegie Elementary beginning June 26 through July 14, 2006. (Personnel Item #0306-6)




·   Policy


14.   Recommend approval of the policy as directed by the Bureau of Budget and Finance of the Pennsylvania Department of Education that appropriate records for all bus/van drivers be kept on record not only with the district’s transportation contractor, but also with the Director of Transportation in the district.
